  • Q1:Will the school grant scholarship when international students enroll?
    A1:When international students enroll, the MCUT Scholarship Review Committee will review their qualifications and the kind of scholarship that will be granted.

 

  • Q2:How many years of the International Student Scholarship can I receive?
    A2:Undergraduate students: 4 years 
            Master students: 2 years 
            Doctoral students: 3 years

 

  • Q3:What does the overseas student scholarship include?
    A3:Overseas student scholarships include:
            undergraduate program: free dormitory on campus and dining on campus
            master and doctoral program:
    • full scholarship: tuition fee 100% waived and Free dormitory on campus
    • half scholarship: tuition fee 50% waived and dormitory fee 50% waived

 

  • Q4:What are the qualifications to be able to apply for the Overseas Student Scholarship?
    A4:Foreign students applying for school foreign student scholarships must have the following qualifications:
    • Foreign students:
      • undergraduate students: at least taken 9 credits in the previous semester with a minimum GPA of 3.0 (B) and  a conduct score of 80 or above
      • master students: at least taken 6 credits in the previous semester with a minimum GPA of 3.3 (B+) and a conduct score of 80 or above
      • doctoral students: the previous semester GPA is 3.3 (B+) and a conduct score of 80 or above

 

  • Q5:When can I apply for the Overseas Student Scholarship?
    A5:The application times is as below: 
    • For Freshman :
      • Before your application for enrollment, you must apply before the dates of closing for application for either Spring/Fall semester.
      • Those who have already received first-semester scholarship students, need to re-submit the application for a scholarship every semester to the office of international affairs according to the announcement from the office of international affairs about overseas student scholarship
    • For the current overseas students:
      • need to re-submit the application for a scholarship every semester to the office of international affairs according to the announcement from the office of international affairs about overseas student scholarship

 

  • Q6:What are the documents required to apply for the scholarship?
    A6:To apply for scholarships for overseas students, you need to prepare the following documents:
    •  For Freshman:
      • Application Form
      • Proof of Grades for your highest education which is either in Chinese or English.
      • Financial statements
      • Proof of language proficiency
        • undergraduate: Chinese language proficiency
        • Master: English language proficiency
      • Health Certificate
      • Declaration for International Students
      • Other proof of your curriculum
    • For the current overseas students:
      • Application Form
      • Proof of Semester's Result and Behavior of Conduct
      • Photocopy student ID 

 

  • Q7:How can Overseas students claim their Approved-Scholarship?
    A7:For those who have gotten the overseas students scholarship, OIA will help them to deduct the tuition fee and accommodation fee.

 

  • Q8:In what circumstances will the student's scholarship be canceled?
    A8:Students scholarships will be disqualified if:
    • Have a note for punishment
    • Scholarship students apply for leave after enrollment
    • Academic scores and conduct scores are not meet the criteria
