Fall Semester:
International students took the lead through hands-on cooking activities, showcasing diverse cuisines from Indonesia, Vietnam, France, Pakistan, India, and other countries. Through the exchange of flavors and aromas, students and faculty had the opportunity to learn about different food cultures and the stories behind them. Using food as a bridge for cultural exchange, the activity brought people closer together, fostered cross-cultural understanding and friendship, and brought the richness of international cultures to life on campus.

Spring Semester:
Local Taiwanese students will take center stage by giving English-language cooking demonstrations and introducing Taiwanese and local specialties to international students. Beyond being a culinary experience, the activity serves as a platform for language and cultural exchange, encouraging students to develop their interest and confidence in cross-cultural communication while creating a more diverse, inclusive, and connected campus community.

Want to share your culture through food? Join OIA’s cultural exchange event and become a speaker!

🌏 What You’ll Do

• Cook a dish from your country
• Share its story and cultural meaning (simple English is OK!)
• Cook and enjoy the meal with Taiwanese students

🎁 Why Join?

• Practice your English and presentation skills
• Make new local friends
• Receive service hours
