Program Introduction

🟥 Do you want to quickly make new friends? 

🟥Do you want to improve your English communication skills ?  

🟥Do you want to learn about different cultures around the world?

If yes, then you definitely can’t miss this program: “WELCOME TO MY HOME” 🎉

Local students will invite overseas students to return to their hometowns during weekends to experience Taiwan’s daily life and hospitality.

If the number of applicants exceeds the quota, selection will be based on itinerary arrangements and home environment.

Program Details

📆 Date: October 03 (Sat) – November 29 (Sun), 2026
🕒 Time: Full day
🏠 Location: Local student’s family home
⭐  Service Hours: 10 hours
🎯 Quota: Limited to 5 pairs (1 pair = 1 local student + 1 overseas student)

🔹 Participation limited to one selected weekend
🔹 Each local student may host only 1 overseas student
🔹 Travel reimbursement available upon submission of tickets for round-trip between school and hometown

Admission Announcement

📌 Spots are limited, and registration does not guarantee selection. Admission results will be announced in early October 2025.
📧 Notification: Results will be sent via your school Outlook email and announced in the LINE group. Once selected, we will email you and ask you to complete a second Google Form to indicate your available time slots for participating in the weekend event, and also to visit the OIA office to sign the deposition letter.   

Program Rules

 

  1.  Each session of this event lasts 2 full days. Participants must attend the entire selected session; otherwise, no service hours will be recognized.  
  2. Participants must submit a reflection report (Word file, minimum 1 page and 300 words, written in English) and at least 5 photos (including a group photo, PNG format) as proof.
  3. Within 3 working days after the event, participants must submit the report and photos in digital format via email to yanneseloo@mail.mcut.edu.tw. Only after submission can participants bring their Learning Passport to the OIA for service hour registration. Late submissions will not be accepted.
  4. The program does not affect regular classes and no official leave will be granted. Activities are scheduled after class hours and on weekends, and participation is optional.
  5. Attendance requires proper sign-in and sign-out. Late arrival, early departure, or failure to attend the full event will result in no service hours being recognized.
  6. Service hour certification must be signed by OIA staff, with the event name, date, time, and hours clearly written in the passport. No alterations are allowed; corrections must be signed or stamped again by the certifier.
  7. Students must keep their passport safe. Lost passports without supporting proof will not be recognized for past activities.
  8. Matters not covered in these rules will follow university regulations. The Office of International Affairs reserves the right of final interpretation.
