淡江大學推廣教育處華語中心承辦2026年暑期「美國國務院華語獎學金研習班」徵選臺灣寄宿家庭,檢送招募海報,歡迎踴躍報名！

一、旨揭獎學金研習班學生及在臺停留時間如下:

(一)美國國務院NSLI-Y高中生獎學金計畫,學生預計於115年6月 25日至8月7日在臺研習。

(二)美國國務院CLS大學生關鍵語言獎學金計畫,學生預計於115年 6月17日至8月15日在臺研習。

(三)美國TISLP臺灣暑期密集語言項目,學生預計於115年7月18日至19日體驗寄宿家庭。

(四)密西西比大學領航項目,學生預計於115年7月11日體驗寄宿家庭(不住宿)。

(五)淡大領航項目,學生預計於115年7月18日體驗寄宿家庭(不住宿)。

二、為促進美國學生在臺學習期間,與當地臺灣人進行文化交流、 培養日常生活中運用華語的能力,擬特別尋找對認識美國文化、並 「願意敞開家門的臺灣家庭,以提供美國學生每日的寄宿接待,同時也提供臺灣接待家庭與外國學生認識不同風俗習慣與文化的機會。

三、寄宿家庭徵選條件如下:

(一)寄宿期間:自115年6月中旬至8月中旬期間(可彈性選擇)。

(二)接待對象:NSLI-Y高中生、CLS大學生、TISLP大學生、淡大領航計畫大學生、密西西比大學大學生。

(三)寄宿地點:雙北市(以淡水、關渡、北投、士林尤佳)。

(四)接待條件:需提供學生獨立房間或單人床(上下鋪亦可)、學生寄宿期間的膳食及安排學生與家庭共同出遊。

Tamkang University Extension Education Center – Chinese Language Center is recruiting host families in Taiwan for the 2026 U.S. Department of State Mandarin Scholarship Summer Programs. Please find the attached recruitment poster and kindly consider applying!

1. Program Students and Stay Periods in Taiwan

(1) U.S. Department of State NSLI-Y (National Security Language Initiative for Youth)
High school students are expected to study in Taiwan from June 25 to August 7, 2026 (R.O.C. Year 115).

(2) U.S. Department of State CLS (Critical Language Scholarship) Program
University students are expected to study in Taiwan from June 17 to August 15, 2026.

(3) TISLP – Taiwan Intensive Summer Language Program (U.S. Department of State–funded)
Students are expected to participate in a homestay experience on July 18–19, 2026.

(4) University of Mississippi Flagship Program
Students are expected to participate in a one-day homestay experience on July 11, 2026 (no overnight stay).

(5) Tamkang University Flagship Program
Students are expected to participate in a one-day homestay experience on July 18, 2026 (no overnight stay).

2. Purpose

To enhance cultural exchange between American students and local Taiwanese families during their study in Taiwan, and to help students improve their Mandarin skills in daily life settings, we are seeking Taiwanese families who are open and willing to host. Participating families will not only support American students in adapting to local life but also gain the opportunity to learn about different customs and cultures.

3. Homestay Family Requirements

(1) Homestay Period: From mid-June to mid-August 2026 (flexible based on availability).

(2) Eligible Hosting Programs:
NSLI-Y high school students, CLS university students, TISLP university students, Tamkang University Flagship Program students, University of Mississippi students.

(3) Location: Taipei City and New Taipei City (Tamsui, Guandu, Beitou, and Shilin preferred).

(4) Host Family Responsibilities:
Provide the student with a private room or individual bed (bunk beds acceptable), daily meals during the homestay period, and include the student in family outings or activities.

Families interested in becoming a host family must complete the online registration form. Program staff will review the application, conduct an on-site home visit, and subsequently notify selected and waitlisted families.
