- Q1:Can students from non-partner university of our school come to our school for short-term exchange program?
A1:Our school mainly receives students from partner university. If they are not students from partner university, they must have the consent of our school unit or teachers before being accepted.
- Q2:Are there any necessary procedures for overseas students to come to our school for short-term exchange program?
A2:The in-charge unit should submit an official document explaining the purpose, duration, funding sources, and accommodation arrangements for the short-term exchange students coming to Taiwan. If the students are not coming with the government program or project and their home country is not a visa free country, Office of International Affairs will assist in submitting official documents to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Immigration Department. Students can apply for a visa at a foreign embassy with the invitation letter provided by the in-charge unit and official documents from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
- Q3:Is the invitation letter for short-term trainees issued by OFFICE OF INTERNATIONAL AFFAIRS?
A3:The short-term exchange program invitation letter must be issued by the department or research center, and the invitation letter must be stamped with the seal of the department or research center. If necessary, Office of International Affairs can provide a template of the invitation letter.
- Q4:Do short-term exchange student have a student card?
A4:No, students can go to the General Affairs Office to open an Easy Card for use as an access control card.
- Q5:Will Office of International Affairs arrange accommodation for short-term exchange students?
A5:The inviting unit should independently confirm and coordinate the status of accommodation with the General Affairs Office, Student Affairs Office, and International Office.
