Information about Visa

Foreign Students

• School Admission Letter does not guarantee your obtainment of an entry visa to Taiwan.
• Please apply for Resident Visa in your own country for entering Taiwan. Make sure you have all the necessary documents required and have sufficient time (at least one month) for visa application. • For entry to Taiwan, the Students are required to apply for a resident visa,  not a visitor visa.
  
• Visa Type: There are four types of visas depending on the entry purpose and identity of the applicant. For degree students, you're required to apply for Resident Visa. Make sure the Remarks indicate “FS” for “Foreign Student”.
• Entry Before / Valid Until: The deadline to use this visa. For example, valid until / entry before April 5, 2023 means you need to enter Taiwan before April 5, 2023, otherwise, this visa will expire after April 5, 2023.
• Duration of Stay: the period of time allowed for the applicant to stay in Taiwan, starting at 12 am midnight the next day of entry to Taiwan. For Resident Visa, the duration of Stay is not specified. You should apply for Alien Resident Certificate (ARC) within 15 days after you arrive in Taiwan.
• Entries: there are two types of entries, SINGLE or MULTIPLE
• Visa Number: Please fill this number on the E/D card when entering Taiwan at the immigration point.
• Remarks: Indication of entry purpose or applicant’s identity.
