The Weather in New Taipei City
New Taipei City is located in the northern part of Taiwan. It is the northernmost city of Taiwan’s main island. It faces the Pacific Ocean in the east and the East China Sea in the Pacific Ocean in the northeast. , The whole territory surrounds Taipei City, adjacent to Keelung City in the northeast, Yilan County in the southeast, and Taoyuan City in the southwest. New Taipei City is located in the subtropical climate zone, with abundant and average rainfall throughout the year. The monthly average minimum temperature in New Taipei City is 13.7 degrees Celsius in January, and the monthly average highest temperature occurs in July at 34.8 degrees Celsius.
Currency
Taiwan uses the New Taiwan Dollar (TWD) as the monetary unit. The largest denomination of banknotes is NT$2,000 (rare), followed by 1,000, 500, and 200 (rare), while the smallest denomination is NT$100. Coin denominations are NT$50, NT$10, NT$5 and NT$1

The voltage in Taiwan is 110V/60Hz, and the most common types of plugs are 2 flat-pin plugs and 1 round and 2 flat three-pin plugs.
Bank
The student who already arriving our university and receive the ARC, they can bring the ARC, Passport and Stamp go to the post office located at the Ming Chi University of Technology to open a bank account and deposit the cash that they bring to Taiwan, but the post office only accept New Taiwan Dollars, didn't provide any currency exchange service, open a bank account can't entrust other people to help you to open it. The student who doesn't have the ARC, if they want to open a bank account, the must go to Immigration Agency to apply the ID No, after getting the ID No, they can go to post office to open a bank account.

US Dollar or Other Foreign Currency Exchange Service
Because US dollars or other foreign currencies are not accepted in Taiwan, please be sure to exchange U.S. dollars or other foreign currencies into New Taiwan dollars at the airport bank, if you cannot exchange at the airport, you can go to the Bank of Taiwan to exchange it after arriving at our university.
Wifi in The University Area
The university area (not including the dormitory) has provided the wifi. For using the wifi, the student needs to use the account id and password of the portal system to connect to the wifi.

The Internet in The Dormitory
The dormitory didn't provide the wifi, so the student need to prepare cable lan. if your laptop didn't have a cable lan plugin, you need to extra prepare the USB to network cable adapter.
