De La Salle University (DLSU) arrived at Ming Chi University of Technology on February 20, 2023. During their two days with us, they visited the Research Centers and gave keynote speeches.

On the first day, Dr. Yen-Jen Chen, Director of the Center for Artificial Intelligence and the staff lead the representatives of DLSU to visit the Battery Research Center of Green Energy, Organic Electronics Research Center, Research Center for Intelligent Medical Devices and the Department of Mechanical Engineering. Dr. Thu-Hua Liu, President, Dr. Fong-Rey Liu, Provost, Dr. Chieh-Lan Li, Dean of Office of International Affairs and some professors welcomed our guests. Through the visitation of these research centers, the representative of DLSU will have a deeper understanding of our education resources and R&D capacity.

On the second day, the Center for Artificial Intelligence & Data Science invited the visiting DLSU professors to give a series of lectures on applications of artificial intelligence and to introduce DLSU’s College of Engineering and College of Computer Studies: Dr. Alvin Culaba, academician of the National Academy of Science and Technology, Philippines, Dr. Ryan Vicerra, chair of the Department of Manufacturing Engineering and Management in DLSU, and Dr. Argel Banadala, chair of the Department of Electronic and Computer Engineering.

As a result of the delegation visit, our two universities will be able to enhance the cooperation between our two universities in the future.
